How to Prepare for a Photoshoot in Venice: A Calm, Complete Guide
Shoes, timing, luggage, weather and mood: a simple checklist so you arrive relaxed at your photoshoot in Venice.
The best photographs happen when you are relaxed. A little preparation makes everything easier, especially in a city made of bridges and narrow streets.
1. Share your idea
Describe the mood you imagine: dark and romantic, golden and dreamy, an unusual character. Send references if you have them. It helps me design the session around you.
2. Wear comfortable shoes
We walk slowly, but we do walk, and Venice has many steps. Bring comfortable shoes and change into your photo shoes only for the pictures if you wish.
3. Travel light
Leave large luggage at the hotel. Bring water, a small bag and your outfit. Read more in how it works.
4. Think about makeup and hair
You can do your own or ask for a makeup artist. For artistic and flying dress sessions I recommend a professional look.
5. Check the weather, but do not fear it
Light rain and fog can be wonderful for the mood. If the weather is too hard, we simply move the date.
6. Arrive on time
Natural light changes quickly. Arriving on time lets us use the best minutes of it.
7. Relax and trust
You do not need to know how to pose. I guide you, and the best moments usually happen between poses.
