I am Riccardo Ferro, a photographer in Venice. I make photographs that look like paintings and feel like poems.
My personal idea of photography is to show the best of people: I want to help you see yourself from the best perspective.
I am not a technical photographer, and I do not chase sharp, standard, catalogue images. I look for atmosphere, gesture and emotion. I shoot with natural light only, never with flash, and I let colour, grain and texture become a language of their own.
Venice is my stage: its quiet streets, old walls and reflected light are the perfect backdrop for portraits that belong more to art than to tourism. Let us make a little magic.

Do you only photograph in Venice?
Venice is my favorite stage, but it’s not the only place where you can capture evocative photographs. If you have a specific project in mind, or if you’ve already chosen a different location, get in touch and we can discuss it together.
Do you use flash or studio lights?
I do not use a flash or artificial lighting; I work exclusively with natural light. If you would like a photoshoot in Venice at night, please reach out, and I will share my artistic vision with you.
