Data controller

What data I collect and why

When you send the quote request form I collect the data you type: name, email, phone (optional), date and details of the session, ideas and preferences, and the choices you make about the use of your photos. I use this data only to answer your request, prepare your quote, organise the session and, if you book, to deliver the photographs and issue the receipt or invoice. I do not use your data for marketing, newsletters, profiling or advertising, and I do not sell or share it for those purposes.

Legal basis

Steps taken at your request before a contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR) and, for the privacy checkbox, your consent (art. 6.1.a). Accounting and tax obligations (art. 6.1.c) apply if you book.

Who can see your data

Only me, and the providers that make the website and email work (hosting and email services), who act as data processors. Your data is not transferred outside the European Economic Area, unless a provider does so under the safeguards required by the GDPR.

How long I keep it

Requests that do not become a booking are deleted within 12 months. If you book, I keep the data needed for accounting and tax purposes for the period required by law (in Italy generally 10 years). Photographs are kept in my archive for the time needed to deliver and, if you allowed it, to show them in my portfolio.

Photographs of you

Photographs in which you appear are personal data. I publish them (portfolio, website, social media) only according to the choice you make in the form or in writing, and I remove them on request.

Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time, by writing to photo@riccardoferro.it. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
